Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

I have had carpal tunnel syndrome for years and several years ago I saw an advertisement in the news paper stating Carpal tunnel Syndrome with cold laser treatment done by Dr. J. Glenn Smith and NO SURGERY. I said to myself “right”. I cut out the ad and put it in my phone book. After many years of suffering with the on again off again symptoms and finding no solutions other than surgery I tolerated the pain . In 2001 I woke up at my worst time of pain and decided to finally do something about it . I had several weeks of severe tingling in my fingers, electric shocks in my wrists and my hands just feeling like clubs.

I kept hoping each day that it would get better , but it was getting worse. I woke up the day after Christmas that year and decided this was my last resort. I got the yellowed ad from my phone book and made the call to Dr. Smith . To my surprise his office was open that day and I asked for an appointment .

I went in two hours later and Dr. Smith spent about an hour with me explaining all about Carpal Tunnel , showing me charts and answering all of my questions. I was feeling very comfortable with all the information I now had on the coldlaser treatment and my decision to do the treatment. So I began treatment. The treatment took about 20 minutes in a relaxing cozy chair , listening to soothing music then you are done.

The next morning I was amazed at how my hands were feeling , not perfect, but much better. I did about 8 treatments ( the number of treatments vary between patients and the severity of the carpal tunnel ) and my hands were feeling normal again and symptom free. I couldn’t believe that I had finally found the solution that I was looking for and it was WITHOUT SURGERY. This was very important to me . It really works this is truly AMAZING !!!!!!!!!!!!!.

Since 2001 I have visited Dr. Smith several times for some tweaking ,I no longer wait until the pain is unbearable , I would have two , maybe three treatments to be pain free again .

I would recommend this treatment for anyone suffering from Carpal tunnel , especially if you DON’T want to have surgery or the down time that goes with it.

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome Bilateral hands and Cubital tunnel bilateral Elbows.

I came to Dr. Smith because I have CTS and Cubital tunnel syndrome. I recently had surgery on the right hand and elbow. The surgeon wanted to do surgery on the left hand and elbow after the right arm is out of the bandages and has been rehabbed in about 8 weeks. I came to Dr. Smith because I heard he works with workers compensation and I did not want surgery on the left wrist and elbow. I came to Dr. Smith with the right arm still in the bandages , Dr. Smith thought he could help my left arm and wanted to treat the left arm while the other was still in bandages. I was very skeptical the treatment would help because I had never heard of laser but I was willing to give it a try because I did not want another surgery and another 8 weeks of healing before I could go back to work.

After one week of treatment the pain in the wrist and elbow was less and after the 2nd week the pain and numbness was completely gone. For sure do this before surgery not after. The pain was gone in the wrist and elbow of the left before the bandages were taken off the right arm. I wish I had known about this treatment before I had surgery.

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

Pain and numbness for 3 years in both hands. Pain was severe I tried magnets and massage which did not help. I was referred to Dr. Smith by a friend who saw a TV interview on a News Health Segment. I did not have any doubts the treatment would work it was approved by the FDA. Dr. Smith was really knowledgeable and was involved in the first FDA study with the laser so he had been using it for years. He recommended 8-10 treatments to start. Treatment reduced the numbness to 80% then numbness gone. I absolutely would use this treatment in the future if needed and refer my friends to Dr. Smith.

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

I have had Carpal Tunnel Syndrome for 3 years I had numbness in the hands and pain in the right forearm and cold hands. The pain was severe enough that I could not lift with my right arm, and my fingers would totally feel dead. I took anti-inflammatory drugs with little relief in the symptoms. I saw Dr. Smith and he recommended a change in my work station and gave me stretching exercises and laser therapy. After 10 treatments I had 90% improvement. I can now lift with my right hand and my hands no longer go to sleep after work and now coldness is gone in the hands. The treatment helped so much I told my Human relations department at my work.

Knee arthritis

I have had knee pain for 3 years from arthritis. The pain was constant and was at its worst when walking . I heard about Dr. Smith and his treatment and wanted to try the treatment but was undecided if it would help. I had 6 treatments with a 90% improvement. Knee Pain

I have had pain and swelling, fluid, and stiffness in my knee for about 1 month. The pain is a constant dull ache which makes It is difficult for walking and getting up and down.

I have had cortisone shots for the pain and pills for the swelling and fluid on the knee. With my daughters encouragement I met with Dr. Smith. His experience showed laser could help my symptoms even after only 5 treatments.

He recommended 10 treatments 1 time per day over the next 15 days (including weekends and the holiday). I felt improvement – reduced swelling in the first three days and then pain free by the 5th day.

Knees Osteoarthritis

I have had knee pain associated with osteoarthritis in both knees for several years. The pain was gradually getting much worse over time the mobility in my knees made it difficult for me when standing, sitting and getting up. I have been on Celebrex to help with the pain with minimal results. I wanted to try something besides drugs for the pain. Chronic Low Back

I am writing this for my 17 year old son who has had chronic low back pain with a pars defect for 5-6 years. On a scale from 1-10 with 10 the worst pain he has had constant pain ranging from 5-10 with many days between 8-10. He has had cortisone injections ( no relief at all), acupuncture ( some minor relief) , manipulation ( no relief), hypnosis and pain management (some help).

I saw a News piece on television about Dr. Smith and coldlaser therapy, being frustrated with the lack of results with the other treatments I called Dr. Smith.

Dr. Smith suggested my son try 5-10 treatments to see if there would be any improvement in his symptoms. After 6 treatments I am very pleased as is my son with the results. Some days are now pain free and some days the pain level is between 1-2 which is very manageable.

I recommend Dr. Smiths treatments to everyone ,I have already referred my brother –in-law in

Neuropathy and Restless leg Syndrome

I have had Neuropathy and restless leg syndrome for 16 years. I all that time It has affected my daily life and my sleep. The Neuropathy causes pain and tingling in my feet the worst of it is at night when I try to sleep. I have been on medications to help with the symptoms but they never seem to work.

If had to rate the pain and tingling I would rate it a 10 if a 10 was the worst pain. I saw Dr. Smith articles in the news paper and then saw him on TV talking about this coldlaser treatment for pain and carpal tunnel syndrome. I thought if it worked for that then it might work for my problem since both are types of nerve injures. I had doubts it would help because I had been on every medication and had every type of treatment without any results.

Dr. Smith suggested we first treat the back where the nerves come out of the spine and then treat the feet where the tingling sensation are. After 12 treatments thus far I am happy to say I am sleeping better now than I have in years and I have a 40-50 % improvement in my symptoms. Hoping continued treatments will continue to improve my symptoms.

I definitely recommend Dr. Smith treatment to anyone with pain and I will definitely continue with treatment for further relief and will use this treatment for other conditions.

Peripheral Neuropathy in the feet

I have had PN for 3 years the symptoms are pain and numbness and tingling in the feet.

I have been on the medication Lamictal 100mg daily to mask the discomfort. I had not heard of Coldlaser before I read an article on Dr. Smith and his treatment. Dr. Smith  took his time in explaining the treatment he recommended 10-20 laser treatments. I took 10 treatments, but noticed a great improvement in the symptoms on the first treatment. It was amazing. I am very excited about laser treatments . By the 5th treatment I had feeling returning that I hadn’t realized was missing. A 90% improvement by the 10 treatment.

The treatment worked for me so well I have had Dr. Smith treat my knee and it has helped it a lot. I have referred other friend for the treatment and will continue to use it on other painful area as needed.

Post Herpetic Neuralgia ( PHN) pain after shingles heals

I have had PHN for two years after a severe case of shingles. The shingles blisters healed but the pain from the shingles never went away. I would describe the symptoms as an unrelenting and unbearable burning pain that would last 24 hours 7 days a week. Anything touching the area would instantly set off the pain. The pain interfered with my sleep because of the sensitivity of the sheets and covers touching the area. I have been on the medication Neurotin which never helped and have tried pain nerve blocks which only helped for 24 hours. I was at the point that I would try anything when I read about Dr. Smiths’ treatment in the newspaper. Dr. Smith suggested I try daily treatments for 5 days then 1 treatment per week for 5 weeks. I have had 10 treatments thus far and have had improvement with each treatment. I have recommend Dr. Smith laser treatments to other and I would try it for other conditions I might have in the future. It worked for me.

Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) pain and Bunion on left big Toe

I had extreme pain in the hands and feet both about 5 years. I had a Titer reading of 414

( should not be above 35) for Rheumatoid arthritis . I had prednisone, Vioxix, and Ibuprofen short term with unpleasant side effects. I came to Dr. Smith because I had laser treatment by him 6 years earlier for Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and it was completely healed. Have not had any symptoms since. I thought if it helped that I was quite certain it would help the RA and possibly the bunion. Dr. Smith Recommended 10 treatments 1 time per day and within two days the pain has gone from extreme pain to tolerable.

I most defiantly would recommend Dr. Smith to others in pain I already have and defiantly will use it as needed for other injuries and conditions for myself. It works for everything he has used it on thus far.

Shoulder pain

I came to Dr. Smith because I have had shoulder pain for 6 months. The pain was very bad nothing seemed to helped I tried pain killers , and massage. A friend of mine who had the treatment told me about Dr. Smith and his cold laser treatments. I was not sure if it would help Dr. Smith said I should begin to notice some pain relief within 5 treatments. I tried 5 treatments and received approximately 70% relief in pain . The treatment helped my shoulder and I would recommend this treatment to others.

Tarsal Tunnel Syndrome and Planter fasciitis chronic pain bilateral

Pain in the feet and ankles which goes up the legs for eight years. I was unable to stand for more than 30 minutes and I had chronic pain sitting or standing before I saw Dr. Smith. I had medication for the pain and wore orthotics and had therapy ( nothing helped). I was having so much pain I was willing to try anything and was so pleased with the results so far.

Dr. Smith was excellent explaining the treatment and put me at ease about my decision to try the treatment. He recommended I try 8-10 treatments and see how I improved and If I continued to improve I might want to get a few more. I now have 50-75% Improvement in pain it still comes and goes but I have less pain. The treatment really made a difference in my day to day activities and my life and I am greatly pleased with the progress.

Tennis Elbow

I came to Dr. Smith because I had severe pain in my elbow . Every time I picked up something , turned a door knob or shook some ones hand I would get a sharp pain in the elbow. I tried two shots which did nothing to help the pain. The pain was constant and affected everything I did for a year and four months. Dr. Smith recommended ten treatments to start and If the pain continued to improve I could do more.

My pain improved every time he treated my elbow, I had 20 treatments with great improvement . The treatment worked I would do it again If I need to in the future and I have already  referred a friend of mine that has a similar problem.
