Cold Laser

Certain wavelengths of light have the ability to penetrate high-water content material such as animal tissue. This penetration allows the process of photobiostimulation on animal cells is similar to photosynthesis in plant cells whereby light sets in motion a chain of chemical reactions. In human tissue the resulting photochemical reaction produces an increase in the cellular metabolism rate which expedites cell repair and the stimulation of several systems: the immune, lymphatic and vascular. This process results in reduced swelling, pain and accelerates healing

LED (Light Emitting Diode) Therapy

LED (Light Emitting Diode) Therapy

Our bodies use light as a source of energy. The energy from light has shown to help heal wounds. We often have more energy and feel better on bright sunny days.

NASA has been using LED color therapy for the past 30 years to accelerate the healing process for their astronauts while in space. It was noted that astronauts with wounds, broken bones or damaged muscles and cartilage would not heal quickly unless LED therapy was applied.

The Space program is now looking at light energy to help heal astronauts. In space, wounds are slow to heal. Muscles and bones become weaker from time spent in space. Using light as a way to help the astronauts is a good thing. LED lights are miniature light bulbs they are not lasers, the light from these spread out in all directions similar to a light bulb in your home which makes for less intensity in the light energy with less depth into the tissue. The further from the light the less light you see and the less energy you have. True Lasers beams have light waves which travel all in the same direction and the beams are more concentrated. The beam from a true laser does not lose energy or light the further away you move. The concentrated energy from these lasers are able to penetrate deep into the tissues without pain and cause stimulation in the cells to get the healing process started.

Chiropractic Manipulation

Helps restore joint mobility and slows or halts degenerative joint disease; reduces pain and inflammation to abnormal joint movement.

Interferential

Interferential reduces painful symptoms and decreases local swelling. It releases the body’s natural pain killers, helping to accelerate the healing process.

Massage Therapy

Massage therapy is used to relax spastic muscles.

Traction

Traction reduces swelling and restores normal elasticity to muscles. Other benefits of traction include: reduced scar tissue, re-hydrates Discs, and reduces nerve impingement.

Ultrasound

Ultrasound uses acoustic vibrations that penetrate into deeper layers of the tissues, breaking down scar tissue, reduces swelling, and aids in reducing calcified spurs.

Dry Hydro Therapy

This therapy uses water jets inside a water filled mattress. The patient lays on the mattress for soothing massage from the neck to the low back. Great for tired and spastic muscles.

Exercise therapy.

Bands, free weights ,treadmill and exercise machines are used for strengthening of weak muscles after injury or surgery.

X-Rays

X-Rays are used to check for degeneration or fractures of the bones and rule out pathological processes.

Functional medicine

Uses laboratory assessments and early intervention to improve patient physiology. This science based health care focuses on patient individuality and on early detection and treatment before the disease process occurs. Laboratory assessments used include comprehensive blood work, hormones, urinalysis, and gastrointestinal.
